Cutting away

For the past few days, I've been cutting up delicious fabric goodness. I have a stack of fabrics that I haven't had the heart to cut into for months (over a year for some of them!) because they were too pretty. But this past week, Denyse Schmidt told me to cut, cut, cut. And who am I to say no to Denyse Schmidt? Bonus: that's what I bought the fabric for anyway - to cut up and sew back together :).

Getting ready for a new quilt

In other news, I recently saw an Etsy listing for a full yard cut bundle of each fabric in Joel Dewberry's Notting Hill collection. Which is 36 yards!!!!

So here's my question....if you had 36 yards of one collection of fabric, what would you do with it?

  1. Oooh, this looks like fun, can't wait to see how it turns out! A part of me thinks a 36 yard bundle is excessive, the rest thinks, wowsers, that would be fun. I don't think you could have a plan for all of it, maybe make yourself a beautiful, massive quilt first up, and then see what you had left and make whatever took your fancy, when it did. : )
